Are you going to write more books in the Wayfarers universe?

Yep! I’m doing so now!

Are the existing three books a trilogy?

Nope! While all the Wayfarers books share the same setting and do have connecting threads, they're standalone stories.

Will you be writing any more books about the crew of the Wayfarer?

Probably not. I don't want to force a story just for the sake of having one, and right now, I’ve told the story I wanted to tell. I’ll always leave the door open for them, but I don’t have any immediate plans for those folks.

What order should I read the books in? Do I need to read The Long Way first?

You don’t have to, but I wrote both A Closed and Common Orbit and Record of a Spaceborn Few with the assumption that you've already read The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet, and that you're reading the books in the order that I wrote them. Will you be able to follow the latter books if you read them out of order? Yes. I did my best to make sure you can start anywhere and get along just fine. That said, The Long Way is where you'll find the primer for the setting as a whole. I don’t double-up on explanations of species, tech, politics, or who these characters are.
